Singing so sweetly out to the whole world
In that whole world, I am just one bird
I guess that means I can relish in your singing to me
You have me so gently spun in your spinny wheel
I could unwind but I feel
so pretty wound up combed and dyed
Oooo now that you’re home
I will take my sweet new time with you again
Your heart sowed in mine is a sprouting seed
It blows quite ferociously in the spring breeze
A breeze to blow me down to my knees
I am a kitty cat I keep on curling
Until I am a ball I keep on swirling
Between your legs so you can’t hide there at all
Oooo now that you’re home
I will take my sweet new time with you again
You’re my little onion I’m still getting to the middle
The center so unclearly near I nearly needn’t fear
That you just might float away and disappear
As you set off to flight my heart is freed from breezes
But knowing flight it slighted by what stronger footing teases
The wind will take our hearts to where he pleases
Oooo now that you’re home
I will take my sweet new time with you again
Your little heart is so tightly in mine
Though it’s a hard fit, I like it fine
I’ll keep yours so long as you keep mine

This is undoubtedly my single favorite album of all time. It feels like such a perfect culmination of all the themes and ideas Fleet Foxes has been working with since 2008. It answers many of the questions found on both Helplessness Blues and Crack-Up, and represents an incredible maturation and growth in Robin Pecknold's perspective. Their other albums are certainly masterpieces, but this, in my opinion, is their magnum opus. I doubt it will be recognized as such in its time. isaiah_stuart
Terry Venemous is releasing new music every 3 weeks this year. His latest EP is sumptuous art pop with a wry sense of detachment.
